A group of small archaistic jade pendants
The first of half-moon shape carved to both sides as a stylized dragon surrounding a yin/yang medallion, the sandy colored matrix marked with reddish brown veins and russet staining in natural fissure lines; the second a thinly sectioned plaque carved to both sides as a recumbent qilin from a pale gray-green matrix; the third depicting two squirrels scrambling toward a raised nut on the outer edges of a circular disk of dark sandy, brown matrix marked with dark russet patches; together with an off-white jade oval plaque of thinly sectioned convex form carved in delicate relief with a flowering plant, garden rock and butterfly and a blue chalcedony toggle depicting a squirrel scampering across two melons.
