A white jade of two birds
A white jade carving of two birds
Depicting a goose spreading its wing as it grasps millet stalks in its mouth while its legs are entwined with water grass and a smaller parakeet-like bird perches on its right wing, the texture of the feathers and millet grains suggested with carefully incised lines, the subtly polished surfaces of the matrix displaying a faint gray-green cast.
