    According to Dr. Kenneth Maddox, the present painting will be included in the forthcoming catalogue raisonne of the artist's work being produced by the Newington Cropsey Fondation, however, the setting is most likely not Lake George, but rather the Ramapo valley near Cropsey's summer home.
