1959 Mercury Colony Park Wagon
Chassis no. M9WD509281
Mercury offered several versions of its Country Cruiser station wagon in 1959, the Voyager, the Commuter and the Colony Park. All of these models came with a hidden below-deck compartment in the rear for additional storage space. The top of this model line was the Colony Park, which featured a woodgrain panel on the sides of the body and tailgate a la Ford Country Squire, and a stylish pillarless design on the four-door variant.
The one-owner car offered is a wonderfully original example of this, now very rare car. It shows well with its mostly original paint and interior, and features the very rare option of air conditioning. The car drives superbly and all systems are perfectly functional, and it is accompanied by an original Bill of Sale, and Invoice from when it was new, as well as its original books and manuals. This incredible survivor came to the sale from being on loan at the National Automotive and Truck Museum of the United States, in Auburn, Indiana.
