Fashioned as a wooden bird cage with slender silver bars and mokume togidashi in gold and silver, the interior single case decorated to either side with a tethered hawk in gold and iro-e hiramaki-e and takamaki-e on a dense gyobu ground contrasting with a seido nuri border, the shibuchiji base signed Kajikawa Tomohide with a red kakihan; together with a red coral bead ojime and an unusual netsuke with a segment of stag antler bracketed by conforming bronze and shakudo plates, the top featuring a crab and turtles in gold and silver overlay, signed Hironaga, with kakihan.
