Nagasa: 41.9cm;hirazukuri, omaru boshi, signed Gyo[ ]; with a Goto School shibuichi kozuka decorated with a gold karashishi on a nanako ground, the blade signed Shizu Saburo Fujiwara-uji; the saya decorated with scattered paulownia crests in gold hiramaki-e and takamaki-e on a roiro mokume nuri ground, the handle of ray skin and set with a pair of gold double flowering paulowia menuki, with a gold flower-head peg.
