Elaborately inlaid in various precious materials with a karako in attendance on a venerable Chinese sage cutting blossoms from a enamel-embellished container, the opposite side with a flower vase suspended from a dragon-form hook above a peacock perched on an ornate stand with a karashishi and further vases with blossoms above a meandering stream defined in gold hiramaki-e and togidashi, the rim encircled by a silver garland band with colored enamel accents, the base enfolded in rolling hills of gold takamaki-e with kirikane accents, all supported on a low octagonal hardwood base, the inlaid cartouche signed Nakayama.
