A late George III oak and mahogany crossbanded longcase clock
The brass dial with leaf and 'C' scroll engraved centre and pierced cast spandrels, eagle on a globe engraved circular boss, subsidiary seconds dial and arched date aperture, inscribed 'Sam Butterworth, Rochdale', eight day striking movement, alterations, in a fluted pillar hood with integral swan neck pediment, over a shaped top long trunk door flanked by conforming quarter inset columns, blind fretwork mounts, solid base on later bracket feet, 219cm high.
