A late George III oak and mahogany crossbanded longcase clock
The arched brass dial with a leaf scroll engraved centre, subsidiary seconds dial and arched date aperture, inscribed 'Josh. Hall, Birmingham', eight day striking movement, foliate and 'C' scroll cast spandrels, eagle engraved circular boss, in a Corinthian column hood with a brass mounted swan neck pediment, over a Greek key mould and blind fretwork frieze, long shaped top trunk door flanked by conforming quarter inset fluted columns, re-entrant corner panel base flanked by fluted cants, on ogee bracket feet, 233cm high.
