An unusual pair of weathered lead terrace vases in the manner of Sir Edwin Lutyens, circa 1920
Of small size and cylindrical form, each worked almost full-height and continually in relief with stylised figures, most standing, including zodiacal, below a pinched moulding to the frieze, on a slightly stepped circular form foot,
28cm high, 21cm diameter. (2)

    Provenance: Dorsington Manor, Warwickshire, formerly the property of the Roberts family, closely linked to the Birmingham and Bromsgrove Guilds. The Birmingham Guild produced work to Lutyens' designs. See Bonhams London 4th June 2008, lot 89, a table lamp with enamelled plaques, and Phillips Knowle 4th July 1984, lot 41, a pair of wall sconces, which were returned to the Guild, and moved from its offices, on its closure, to Dorsington Manor
