A George III oak and mahogany crossbanded longcase clock
The square brass dial with a matted centre, cast and pierced spandrels, silvered chapter ring and engraved seconds, dial (lacking hand) and aperture, matched period eight day striking movement, in a fluted pillar hood with a blind fret frieze, over a shaped top long trunk door flanked by a conforming pair of quarter inset columns, solid base with re-entrant corner panel flanked by cants, on later ogee bracket feet, restorations and alterations to dial/movement, 207cm high.
