Collection of some twenty sixteenth and seventeenth century deeds relating to the Lister family of Coleby Hall, Lincolnshire, principally concerning properties in Gosberton, Lincolnshire, and properties in Bassingham, Harmston and Cadney (one deed witnessed in 1638 by a Robert Burton), as well as to a house in Lincoln owned by Jane, widow of Peter Feasant, in 1588; plus later deeds and attested copies, mostly vellum, some rodent damage, dust-staining etc., 1565-1690, and later

  • This small archive also comprises a few deeds relating to the Lister family's London properties, including a house in St Martin-in-the-Fields (an assignment signed by the notorious Restoration rake Henry Jermyn, later Baron Jermyn, Master of the Horse to James Duke of York), chambers in Gray's Inn (1673) and a house in Lincoln's Inn Fields belonging to the politician Thomas Lister, as inherited by his nephew William in 1668 (for Jermyn and Thomas Lister, see the ODNB).
