New York: Baker & Godwin, 1863. 48 pp. Wood-engraved plan of the cemetery. Blue cloth over marbled boards, original printed gray wraps bound in. A few stray spots and smudges but in a near fine copy with wraps in a wonderfully preserved state.

First appearance of Lincoln's Gettysburg address in book form. Howes mentions an earlier, "somewhat garbled" appearance of Lincoln's speech previously appearing in a 16 page Washington pamphlet, The Gettysburg Solemnities of which only two copies are known, but considers the former the true first appearance.
