Gelatin silver print on Dassonville Charcoal Black paper, plate 11 from 'The Sierra Club Outing 1929' portfolio, signed 'Ansel E. Adams' and numbered '11' in pencil in the margin.
This lot and the following two are rare examples of Adams's early work. The portfolio was in an edition of 25, of which perhaps only 8 copies of the whole portfolio were made.
