Footnotes
Toots Zynsky's work stands out from all other contemporary glass because of the way it is formed from coloured threads of glass to build a vessel, a technique that may well have been inspired from nest-building. Her work is instantly recognisable not only from its physical appearance, but the colour palette that she uses which has been compared to the plumage of exotic birds.
