A 'La Cavalerie' mascot for Constantinesco Cars by Margareta Cossascanu, French, 1926,
signed and dated Paris 1926, nickel-plated bronze depicting a nude holding a spear at arms length whilst riding a horse, 22cm high, on a turned wooden base. This fabulous mascot was produced exclusively for the Paris showroom of Constantinesco, together with a photocopy of the colour publicity poster, an enamel radiator badge from the Constantinesco car, a matching enamel lapel badge and a CTC enamel badge, together with a file of photocopies of related articles from Autocar, The Motor and other periodicals.

  • This mascot was created by the cousin of M. Georges Constantinesco, the designer of the car. His range of car bodies were exhibited in the Salon of Paris and he also designed the Constantinesco Torque Converter in 1924.
