A 19th century manuscript Ship's Carpenter's personal journal,
kept by William McIlwraith of Glasgow. A daily logbook covering a period from November 1873 to May 1880 serving on five ships; the Norham Castle, Braemar Castle, California, Alexandria and Colina. Describing passages in general and passenger cargo from Glasgow to the Far East, Mediterranean and the Americas. Approx. 114pp, with marbled board covers and leather binding. 13x8in(33x20cm)
