A Dutch-engraved armorial baluster goblet
circa 1750
The bucket bowl with everted rim decorated with a coat of arms (three flowers issuing from wave ornament, a sheep below) within a scroll and strap cartouche, the reverse with a formal garden with a pair of swans in a rectangular pool flanked by hedges, trees, garden statuary and a balustrade, a sailing-boat on a canal in the distance, the stem with a teared wide angular knop and basal knop, on a folded conical foot, 16cm high
