- The current owner joined Comex in the early 1970's and dived around the world over a 15 year period. This watch was presented by Comex to him for 10 years service and comes with a presentation card, blank punched papers, divers identity cards plus rare photographs of the current owner diving in the North Sea.
The Sea-Dweller and the Submariner models were all used by the French diving company Comex (Compagnie Maritime d' Expertise) and were issued to their specialist divers with each watch marked Comex on the dial and numbered on the rear.

1978-1979 Submariner Ref: 1680, no valve.

1980-1984 Sea-Dweller sapphire Ref: 16660 with valve with matt or gloss dial.
1982-1986 Submariner Sapphire Ref: 16800 no valve with matt or gloss dial.
1984-1997 Sea-Dweller Sapphire Ref: 16600 with valve.
1986-1997 Submariners Ref: 16610 no valve.
