Gold aureus of Tiberius, minted in Lugdunum AD 15-16, 7.9g, TICAESARDIVIAUGFAUGUSTUS, laureate head right, R.TRPOT XVII. IMP VII below, Tiberius in slow quadriga right pulled by four horses all with head turned right, holding laurel branch and eagle-tipped sceptre (RIC 3, Sear 1759), good very fine, with lustrous toning.
