signed with fly insignia (lower right), further signed, inscribed and dated 'It was Christmas and the snow lay crisp and even/and it was with great delight we all/went to see Judson's new drapers shop opened/with toys and almost everything you would/think of. Mother and Grandma went inside/to buy red flannel for our petticoats and they/declared it to be of good fine quality. Aunt/Charlotte has just seen Miss Carter (who wore/pink) also coming to look at all the lovely things./I wanted George to come and look at the Dolls/House but he was too busy helping to make the/Snow Man, and as Aunt Frances pointed out,/he would much rather look at the toy trains/and the year was 1906./Helen Layfield Bradley 1970' (on a label attached to the backboard)
