Fine Oiseaux Chantants and Musical Vertu
A two-train clock-actuated Leinsier cylinder musical movement,
the mantle clock late-19th century and later - various elements brought together,
the small musical movement Nos. 1182 and 4297, single-section comb signed to centre with Leinsier INWIEN, on plain brass bedplate, mounted on oval wood baseboard, the two-train timepiece with indistinct signature to inset dial centre, the proud chapter ring bearing Roman numerals both in white enamel with black script, open anchor escapement above spindle, in cylindrical drum case, supported from the ebonised ovoid-form musical movement base by ormolu C scroll brackets, with flower heads and swags, flanking rear support pierced similarly, appliques to base front and vacant dome groove around the edge, hole for cord actuation behind the circular foliate boss pendulum, with two period keys - 18.1/2in. (47cm) high

- The comb is stamped EINSIDL, not LEINSTER - the poor quality punch makes this very difficult to read.
