with going-barrel movement, the bird with multi-coloured plumage with predominant tones of green and dark brown, moving bone beak and wings (one de-feathered), rising through finely tooled and pierced gilt grille, laurel leaf border, lid in faded silver gilt with two birds on a flowering branch, in well-figured tortoiseshell case with an even anomaly shaded top, key compartment at rear and gilt start/stop to front-right, with period key, in original black travelling case with blue velvet lined interior, (stress hairline to front-right base corner) - 3.3/4in. (9.5cm) wide
