A cold painted bronze table lamp in the form of a boy astride an elephant
the elephant with a lion strapped to its back, below two palm trees, raised on a naturalistically cast base, bearing the Bergman stamp to the underside of the base, 32cm high

  • The very successful Bergman foundry was established in Vienna in 1885 by Franz Bergman. Bergman was born in Gablonz, Bohemia, which was then part of Austria-Hungary, now the Czech Republic. His son Franz Xavier took over the family business registering the well known trade mark stamp of the inverted vase stamp with the "B" in the middle.
