Britannia, sive florentissimorum regnorum angliae, scotiae, hiberniae, et insularum adiacentium ex intima antiquitate chorographica descriptio, additional engraved pictorial title, 57 engraved maps (all but 2 double-page) by William Kip or William Hole, mostly after Christopher Saxton or John Norden (4 shaved to one margin, Ireland with short tear repaired at centre), 8 full-page engraved illustrations of coins, other illustrations in the text (2 engraved), ink annotations in some margins (ink spots to 2 leaves), occasional browning and a few spots to text (8 with loss of a few letters, 4 leaves with short repairs), dedication leaf with early inscription "Biblitothec Ste. Nicolai de Arenij, et usum Placidi Scammacea à Catena", later calf gilt, joints weakened, loss to headbands [STC 4507; Chubb XVIII; Skelton 5], folio (311 x 218mm.), George Bishop and John Norton, 1607
