Footnotes

  • The Ref:5508 was first launched in 1958 and was one of the last models of the so-called 'James Bond' Submariners. The name is derived from the fact that models similar to this, without crown guards, were frequently featured in the Bond movies. Today any Submariner without crown guards is referred to as a 'James Bond' model. This particular watch comes from the last year of production of this model, and retains its original rare gloss dial with so called 'Exclamation Mark' at 6 o'clock.
