The flat-topped hood with dentil moulding to the cornice over freestanding columns, the trunk with reeded quarter columns and shaped door with pierced brass escutcheon, the crossbanded base with moulded skirted plinth, the signed twelve inch dial with floral corner decoration, Roman numerals, subsidiary date ring with bird and foliate decoration to the centre, the plated weight-driven movement with anchor escapement and external countwheel striking on a bell 198cm (6ft6in) high.
