A Meissen figural centrepiece
Second half 19th century.
Modelled with two boy musicians and two girls dancing in a ring around a palm tree, supporting a circular dish with an intricate pierced border and central painted flowers and insects, the wide circular base with a border of stiff leaves, 32cm high overall, crossed swords mark in underglaze blue, incised 2728 (a triangle held by one of the boys is lacking, minor losses and repair to the top of the palm tree stem)
