Circa 6th-2nd Millennium B.C and later
Three Sumerian cuneiform inscribed clay foundation cones, circa 2000 B.C.; 3in-4¾in (7.5cm-12cm) high, two with tips missing; an Old Babylonian cuneiform tablet, inscribed with six lines of administrative script or scribal school exercise text, reading: 'In the month Addar eleven oxherders were appointed. In the month of Nisan eleven oxherders were appointed', circa 1900-1700 B.C., 2in x 2in (5cm x 5cm); a Tel Halaf terracotta fertility figure, with additional details in umber, 6th-5th Millennium B.C., 2¾in (7cm) high, some restoration; a Syrian terracotta circular plaque, moulded in relief with a figure and ibex, 2¾in (7cm) diam; and two Mesopotamian hardstone seals: a calcite pyramid seal and a Jemdet Nasr cylinder seal 15mm and 18mm (high); and three other Near Eastern-style terracotta items two Syrian terracotta idols, one double-headed with applied details, 5¼in (13.5cm) high; and a clay tablet, Not Ancient (11)
