rectangular, the black, green and red silk ground heavily embroidered in gilt-metal and metal-thread, depicting a large inscription-filled cartouche above, below that a red inscription-filled medallion and a green inscription-filled smaller medallion flanked by two hanging lamps, at the bottom a tughra within a floral swag, all within a zig-zag niche, the border with rococo-style floral decoration

In the red medallion: al-Shahadah. The lower part incorporating the signature and tughra of Sultan Mahmud II, son of Sultan Abdul Hamid (reigned AD 1808-1839).
