Speed (Coppel CF 7)
Linocut, 1922, printed in cobalt blue, yellow ochre, vermilion and Prussian blue, on buff oriental laid tissue, reverse-mounted onto yellow-inked paper backing, signed and numbered 31/50 in pencil top left, titled in pencil lower right below image, 238 x 319mm (9 1/3 x 12 1/2in)(SH)

Footnotes

  • Speed and CF10 are technically unusual among Flight's prints in that they were printed on the reverse side of the sheet; the translucency of the fine tissue paper allowed the colours to show through to the viewing side. Impressions were then mounted on a yellow-inked paper backing.
