Tunde Odunlade trained under Olayinka Ademeyi, one of the founding members of the Oshogbo school and one of Nigeria's most prominent artists. The flamboyant embroidery of the Yoruba finery is evident in Odunlade's needlework pieces, which are applied in layers to batik backgrounds to create colleage-like patchworks.
