- We are grateful to Alan Stubbs for informing us that the sitter in the present portrait is Marie Therèse de Bourbon, Princess de Condé (1666-1732). Known as one of the Royal Dolls because of her lack of height, she married her cousin, François Louis de Bourbon, Prince de Condé.
