A large Hellenistic hollow terracotta female figure
Circa 2nd Century B.C.
Standing wearing a chiton with himation over the top, the end draped over her left shoulder, her left leg relaxed beneath the folds of her drapery, her arms raised, holding objects in her hands, possibly a comb and mirror, wearing a necklace with a diamond-shaped pendant, earrings at her ears, her hair arranged in the melon style and drawn back into a chignon, set on an integral base, the back unmodelled, some white slip remaining, 17½in (44.5cm) high, some restoration
