A fine pair of Japanese Arita baluster Jars and Covers
circa 1700
each baluster body reserved with three irregular upright cartouches of pairs of Manchurian cranes amongst pine, divided by large clusters of tight flowering peony, beneath three gilt-ground floral trefoils descending from the neck, the domed covers similarly decorated beneath large crouching eagle finials (finials lacquered and possibly restored, one cover cracked).
