Comprising nine original works that Mouse created specifically to illustrate the pages of the 1973 songbook [see LOT 21 for songbook]; consigned to this auction directly by Mouse himself who kept these pieces in his possession for the last 36 years. Artwork includes: 1) an airbrush on board of a tree (tree is actually pasted to board and then touched up in ink), 2) a photo and ink collage on board of people with text noting "Friend of the Devil," 3) an ink on board of a telephone and telephone poles with text noting "Operator," 4) a watercolor and airbrush on board of a rocket ship with text noting "High Time," 5) a photo, ink and pencil collage on board of a couple with text noting "Playing in the Band," 6) an ink on board of text only noting "Candyman," 7) a watercolor and ink on board of a staircase and building with text noting "Cumberland Blues," 8) a watercolor and color ink pen on board of text only reading "Brokedown Palace," and 9) a watercolor and airbrush on board of a large instrument floating in front of a landscape.
All approximately 16 x 11in (or slightly smaller)
