A Prize Devon Ox
bears inscription on slip mount: 'This superior Devon Ox was bred and fed by Mr John Hole of Greenend, Plymtree - he won the prize at the first Honiton Agricultural cattle show, was afterwards raffled for by 60 persons at a sovereign each, was won by Richard Mortimore Esq. of Kingsmill and slaughtered by Mr Roger Rowe of Cullompton for the Christmas Market 1838.' oil on canvas,
