A composite 18th century figured mahogany longcase clock
The square brass dial with cherub and crown spandrels, matted and foliate engraved centre, subsidiary seconds dial, date aperture, inscribed 'Luke Wise, Reading', eight day striking movement, in a Bristol mahogany case of good colour, the hood with fluted columns and pilasters below a stepped, fluted, blind fretwork and dentil moulded cornice, over a long arch top trunk door flanked by quarter inset fluted columns, on a panel base and later plinth, 221cm high.
