One side stained red, the opposing side left natural, the kings with serrated crowns and reeded ball finials, the queens with large reeded ball finials, both with reel form bodies, the bishops as split mitres, the knights as horses' heads, the rooks as castellated towers with reeded ball finials, the pawns with baluster form supports and reeded ball finials, some pieces with small chips, king 11cm, pawn 4cm, with a contemporaneous mahogany box, a.f.
