Sparta Met Sachs Moped
Frame no. C98030791
Engine no. H600962
One of Germany’s biggest industrial conglomerates, Fichtel & Sachs started out as bicycle component makers in the 1890s, diversifying into the production of roller bearings in the early 1900s and then, in the 1930s, to lorry components and motorcycle engines. Small capacity two-strokes were the company’s staple product, powering models from the likes of Wanderer and Express. A 60cc moped power unit - the 60cc Saxonette motor-wheel - was marketed from 1937 onwards. After WW2 a diverse range of two-stroke engines was produced in capacities from 50cc to 175cc. Presented in running condition, this moped consists of a Sparta Met ladies’ bicycle and a Sachs engine. There are no documents with this Lot.
