Introduced in the UK in 1967, Suzuki’s T 500, a parallel-twin two-stroke, became a mainstay of their range until Suzuki began to concentrate on four-stroke machines for the road. A light and well-mannered, medium-paced machine with good road manners, the 500 was good enough, in tuned form, to win a TT and many other races and today remains that rarity, a collector’s machine at a keen price which is a genuine pleasure to ride. This excellent example has been given a stem to stern restoration by its enthusiastic and now, sadly deceased owner. The rebuilt machine will need re-commissioning following a period of storage and is complete with a fully documented photo record of the restoration as well as V5. A good buy.
