A fine and impressive mid 19th century mahogany stick barometer

The curved upper section with carved detail over a waisted trunk set with a pair of adjustable knobs and a large mercury thermometer tube, terminating in an ebonised urn-shaped cistern cover, the signed twin angled scales with rack and pinion verniers reading against the extra-large bore tube 1.07m (42in) high.
