Footnotes

  • The reference 6262 was introduced at the end of the 1960’s; it featured the more precise caliber 727 movement. Rolex continued its production until circa 1972.

This watch was purchased new in 1971 by the current owner from J.W.Benson of 25 Old Bond Street London. This watch still retains its original Guarantte booklet and fitted box, the rarity of this watch is further enhanced by its unpolished condition and that it has had very little use in the last 36 years, this is further confirmed by parts of the original Rolex sticker that are still visible on the case back.
