17-jewel movement with lever escapement, monometallic balance, original silvered dial signed Rolex Antimagnetic, and the retailers name of Dobbies Ltd of Nairobi, applied batons and Arabic half-hour numerals, inner minute and seconds divisions, subsidiary seconds and 30-minute recording dial, outer tachometer and telemeter graduations, blued steel hands, polished and brushed finished case with square push buttons in the band, snap on back, fitted leather strap, case, dial and movement signed

  • The Ref:2508 was first issued in a 37mm case with olive shaped pushers. It was then revised with a 36mm case with square pushers and was available in stainless steel, yellow gold and pink gold.

    This watch was purchased by a member of the current vendor’s family whilst stationed in Nairobi during the Second World War.
