  • This image is an enlarged and expanded version of the illustration "Tiggers don't like honey" used in "The House at Pooh Corner".

    Provenance of this and the following lots: by descent from the family of E.V. Knox and Mary Shepard, daughter of E.H. Shepard. E.V. Knox (1881-1971) had a long association with Punch contributing articles from 1905 onwards and eventually becoming editor in 1932. In 1937 he married Mary Shepard, best known for her illustrations to P.L. Travers' Mary Poppins.
