A fine Baule mask
Ivory Coast, gracefully carved with downward arching heavily striated horns, the coif equally elaborate and replete with incised geometric motifs. The arching brow above heavily lidded eyes and small pursed lips. Hobnails and two brass strips applied to the face, the outer perimeter of an open-work zigzag motif.
