This bronze Senufo face mask is among the finest extant examples and was published in GoldwaterÂ’s seminal work, Senufo Sculpture of West Africa. The integration of the elements of the face with the appendages above and to the sides is remarkable, and the mask possesses a poise rarely found in bronze examples.
