Bonhams 1793 : A figural board, Banks Island

Banks Island, carved in relief with two highly abstract figures divided by a dentil band, the uppermost in a squatting posture its narrow lozenge head issuing multiple hooked elements; the lower figure similarly depicted but with four opposed, elongated head hooks, above a pair of stick legs and long phallus, the whole painted in blue pigment.
