The first of three cases, in the form of a tortoise, its head emerging from its shell and its eyes inlaid, with ivory netsuke of Ebisu holding aloft a huge fugu-fish, signed Rohaku; the second of two cases, in the form of a seated oni, its eyes inlaid, with peach stone ojime and wood mask netsuke, unsigned.
Both 10.1cm (4in) high. (2).
