The blade of hira-zukuri form, with short bo-hi on either side, medium sugu-ha of nioi, itame hada, the ubu-nakago with one mekugi-ana, signed Shojumaru; associated red ishime lacquer saya with black lacquer mon; kozuka of shakudo with inlaid daikon in Kaga style, other black lacquer mounts with gold lacquered mon. The blade 16.9cm (6 5/8in).
